A few random notebook slides about Shelter and HSIE
GET THE FILE HERE! Although it won't work and all you'll have is a zip folder with a few thumbnails and useless XML files... Good luck!
The first slide is a game where students drag the picture of shelter to categorise as man-made or natural shelter.
The second slide is a shelter cline where students drag images of shelter to rank them from oldest to newest, in their opinion. There is no exact perfect answer.
The third slide is a bit of information about Indigenous Australians and their link to the land. It as a brief text of this relationship and a link to a video below. Ask students to pay attention to the types of shelter and how people were living. The video has images of Aboriginal shelter prior to the arrival or white settlers. Pause video and ask students to describe what they saw and how they think the lived. Play video, it shows the arrival of white setttlers. What happened, what changed, how do we live now that was different to then?
